Dr. Gavin Chan
Cosmetic Doctor

Dr Gavin Chan is a medical practitioner who founded the Victorian Cosmetic Institute in 2004. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has focused his practice on non-surgical approaches to skin ageing including cosmetic injectables, laser resurfacing, and skin rejuvenation. His approach prioritises natural-looking outcomes, patient safety, and long-term skin health.
Earlier in his career, Dr Chan was a trainer for cosmetic pharmaceutical companies, gaining deep technical knowledge of aesthetic products and procedures. This experience gave him valuable insight into both the benefits and limitations of industry-promoted treatments. Today, he chooses to remain independent of commercial affiliations and is a strong advocate for ethical, evidence-based practice.
With a strong patient base built on word-of-mouth, clinical results, and long-standing relationships, Dr Chan has earned a reputation for transparency, integrity, and technical precision.
As Medical Director, he leads the training and development of doctors at the Victorian Cosmetic Institute, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of the field. He also hosts the Institute’s YouTube channel, where he shares detailed educational content on cosmetic treatments. His aim is to empower patients with clear, unbiased information — cutting through marketing hype and common misconceptions.

Dr. Natasha Moscato

Dr Natasha Moscato has worked in cosmetic medicine since 2006 and is one of the most experienced doctors at Victorian Cosmetic Institute. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, she combines technical skill with a vibrant and personable approach to patient care.
Dr Moscato has extensive experience in injectable treatments, with a focus on facial rejuvenation and age-related volume changes. She takes a conservative, tailored approach to enhance facial balance and achieve natural-looking results.
Her warm, down-to-earth nature and unmistakable laugh help put patients at ease, and she is known for building lasting relationships based on trust, honesty, and genuine connection.
Dr. Aliaa Yusof

Dr Aliaa Yusof, known to many as Dr Aliaa, is a cosmetic doctor, aesthetic trainer, and passionate advocate for body positivity. A Monash University graduate, she began her medical career training across various surgical specialties before dedicating herself to cosmetic medicine and hair restoration.
With postgraduate qualifications in Dermal Therapy and specialist training across injectables, laser, and skin treatments, Dr Aliaa employs a multi-modality approach to deliver personalised, natural outcomes. She views cosmetic medicine as a union of art and science—shaping individualised treatment plans through thorough assessments and detailed consultations.
Active on Instagram as @draliaayusof, Dr Aliaa enriches the broader aesthetic community by sharing insights on body positivity, self-acceptance, and her experiences as an aesthetic educator. Dr. Talha Majoka

Dr Talha Majoka is a medical practitioner with a background in emergency medicine, having worked in both metropolitan and rural settings across Australia. He brings this clinical experience to his work in cosmetic medicine, where his focus is on precision, safety, and natural outcomes.
Dr Majoka has a particular interest in non-surgical facial rejuvenation and is highly skilled in anti-wrinkle treatments. He is a strong advocate for innovative techniques and often uses the mesogun method of injection, which allows for controlled, even delivery of product and enhanced patient comfort.
With prior experience as a model in Europe and Australia, Dr Majoka brings a unique eye for aesthetic balance and facial harmony. He sees cosmetic medicine as a blend of art and science—always tailored to the individual.
Dr. Catherine Law

Dr Catherine Law is a specialist general practitioner with a strong interest in women’s health, aesthetic medicine, and evidence-based skin care. She is fluent in Mandarin and is committed to empowering patients through education, helping them make informed choices about their health and appearance.
Dr Law is experienced in a range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments and takes a conservative, ‘less is more’ approach to facial aesthetics. She has a particular interest in skin rejuvenation and in supporting the health of ageing skin through personalised treatment plans.
She also places a strong emphasis on daily skin care, recognising the importance of a consistent, tailored at-home regimen in maintaining long-term skin health.
Dr. Cathy Soufan

Dr Cathy Soufan is a specialist general practitioner with additional postgraduate qualifications in surgery and anatomy, including a Master of Surgery and a Diploma of Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne. Her clinical background includes experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery and general surgery prior to specialising in general practice.
Dr Soufan has a particular interest in cosmetic medicine, skin cancer management, and minor surgical procedures. She enjoys applying her knowledge of anatomy and minimally invasive techniques to achieve balanced, natural-looking cosmetic outcomes tailored to each individual.
Born and raised in Melbourne, she is fluent in Arabic and has a passion for travel and learning about other cultures.

All our registered nurses have been chosen for their empathy, caring nature, and cosmetic knowledge and skills. Our nurses have extensive training across various cosmetic services, including skin and laser treatments.
Jenni Aguilar
Cosmetic Nurse

Jennibeth Aguilar is a Registered Division 1 Nurse who completed her nursing degree at Deakin University. She brings a broad clinical background with experience in medical, surgical, paediatric, and emergency nursing. After five years in Emergency, she transitioned into cosmetic nursing to pursue her passion for aesthetics and patient-centred care.
Jenni is known for her approachable and compassionate nature, and she is committed to making each patient’s experience at Victorian Cosmetic Institute comfortable and worthwhile. She enjoys helping patients feel confident and well-informed throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of work, Jenni is a dedicated mother of two and has a long-standing passion for dance. She has been actively involved in Calisthenics for over 20 years—competing, performing, and coaching girls aged 10 to 30.
Monika Currie
Cosmetic Nurse

Monika Currie is a Registered Division 1 Nurse with a background in surgical, plastic, theatre, and dermatology nursing. She has been part of the Victorian Cosmetic Institute team since 2014 and is experienced across all areas of the clinic’s treatments, with a particular passion for non-surgical rejuvenation and preventative cosmetic medicine.
Monika takes a collaborative approach to patient care, working closely with each individual to develop tailored treatment plans that reflect their goals. She places great importance on education—both for her patients and herself—dedicating significant time to researching the safest and most effective treatment options available.
Known for her thorough and compassionate manner, Monika ensures that patients feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout every stage of their treatment journey.
Laura Cheung
Cosmetic Nurse

Laura Cheung is a Registered Division 1 Nurse with over 20 years of neonatal intensive care experience in Melbourne and London. Her interest in skin health began during a rotation in the eczema ward at the Royal Children’s Hospital and deepened while caring for an infant in Hong Kong—where she observed the integration of Eastern and Western skin therapies.
With postgraduate qualifications in Dermal Therapy, Laura is trained in cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, and advanced skincare modalities. She is dedicated to delivering individualised, evidence-based care that not only enhances appearance but also nurtures skin health.
Laura’s gentle touch—honed from years of caring for premature babies—helps ensure each treatment is comfortable, reassuring, and tailored to each person’s needs. Her ultimate goal is to help clients both look and feel their best.

Working in a medical environment, our skin therapists use their extensive knowledge of skin to further enhance your skin treatment results. They utilise medical grade skin care, peels, laser and other skin devices, as well as advise on skin care to help bring out the best in your skin.
Mariam Rafraf
Skin Therapist
Mariam has been a qualified Beauty Therapist since 2011, completing her studies at Victoria University. She is currently advancing her skills through a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies.
Since 2013, Mariam has worked in a range of skin clinics, where she developed extensive experience in laser and advanced skin treatments. She is passionate about helping patients achieve visible results and enjoys supporting them through every stage of their skin journey.
Outside of work, Mariam loves spending time with her young family, travelling, keeping active, enjoying good food, and connecting with nature.
Tayla Brown
Skin Therapist
Tayla Brown has worked in the beauty and skin industry for many years, beginning her journey at Elly Lukas Beauty Therapy College where she first developed a passion for skin health. She later completed a Bachelor of Dermal Sciences and now shares her clinical knowledge as an educator at the Australian Dermal Science Institute, helping shape the next generation of dermal therapists.
Tayla is committed to ongoing professional development and stays up to date with the latest evidence-based skin treatments. She is equally passionate about patient education—ensuring each person feels heard, informed, and empowered throughout their skin journey. Her goal is to support patients in achieving real, sustainable results through personalised, science-led care.
Georgia Clements
Skin Therapist
Georgia is a Bachelor-qualified Dermal Clinician with a strong focus on results-driven, evidence-based skin treatments. She completed her Diploma of Beauty Therapy at Elly Lukas Beauty Therapy College, before advancing her clinical training with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) at the Australian Dermal Science Institute.
With a passion for skin health and a refined, personalised approach, Georgia understands that every patient’s skin is unique. She combines advanced treatment modalities with tailored skincare plans to deliver consistent, long-term results.

Hana Ramadan

Hana studied beauty therapy at Elly Lukas, where she built a strong foundation in skin health, and is currently completing her Dermal Therapy studies at the Australian Dermal Science Institute to further refine her knowledge and treatment approach.
She has a genuine passion for understanding each client’s concerns and needs, taking the time to listen and tailor treatments accordingly. Known for her calm and approachable nature, Hana creates a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable, understood, and confident throughout their skin journey.
Tahli Di Fiore
Skin Therapist
Tahli completed her Bachelor of Dermal Science at Victoria University in 2024, gaining hands-on clinical experience while working in administration at a dermatology clinic throughout her studies. This experience allowed her to develop a strong understanding of patient care and clinical practice.
Tahli has a genuine passion for treating a broad range of skin conditions and takes a thorough, considered approach to every consultation. She is dedicated to patient education and empowering patients to better understand their skin, developing personalised, long-term skin health plans that deliver real and sustainable results. Tahli is committed to ensuring each client feels supported, informed, and confident throughout their skin journey.
