Acne Scarring
Acne scarring is complex and never fully correctable.
Overview
Acne scarring occurs when persistent or severe acne damages skin, leaving indentations on the face, chest, or back.
What causes Acne scarring ?
- Skin laxity is caused by various factors, including:
- Deep, pus-filled acne cysts damage surrounding tissue through inflammation.
- Injury to active acne lesions increases the risk of scars forming.
- Loss of collagen during healing causes indented (‘atrophic’) scars, most often on the face.
- Excess collagen production leads to raised (‘hypertrophic’ or ‘keloid’) scars, more common on the chest and back.
Delayed healing happens when acne lesions aren’t properly repaired. Interrupted repair can disrupt collagen, leading to indented (atrophic) or raised (hypertrophic) scars.

Our Beliefs
1.
Setting realistic expectations
Expectations must be realistic — improvement, not perfection.
2.
Control before correction
Active acne must be controlled before scarring treatment begins (often medically).
Key point of difference

No single treatment works for all scars.
Acne scarring requires multiple modalities, selected based on scar type (atrophic, rolling, boxcar, tethered, etc.).
How we’re different
Most cosmetic clinics focus on visible change.
We focus on what those changes do to your skin over time.
Diagnosis before treatment, not treatment by default
Long-term skin health prioritised over short-term results
Precision over excess
Conservative, evidence-informed use of injectables and devices
Doctor-led, established in 2005
Honest guidance, including when not to proceed
Skin Laxity Patient Outcomes
Every recommendation considers how your skin will

Our Approach
When treating laxity non-surgically, we use multiple complementary modalities to maximise results.
We also emphasis skin quality, collagen health, weight stability, and overall health, which all influence laxity over time.
