Skin Concerns / Skin Laxity
Skin Laxity
Skin laxity is fundamentally a structural issue, not a volume problem.
Overview
Skin reacts differently depending on age and laxity. A consultation with our doctors helps tailor the best approach for you.
What causes skin laxity?
Skin laxity is caused by various factors, including:
- Ageing: Reduced production of collagen and elastin over time.
- Weight Loss: Significant weight loss can leave behind excess skin.
- Sun Exposure: UV rays break down skin fibres.
- Smoking: Damages skin and reduces blood flow.
- Genetics: Play a role in skin’s tendency to sag.
- Diet: Poor nutrition contributes to skin laxity and quality.
Because skin laxity are not caused by a single factor, treatment should never be one-dimensional.

Our Beliefs
1.
Gold standard treatment
Surgery remains the gold standard for significant laxity (e.g. facelift, blepharoplasty).
2.
Choosing what feels right for you
Not everyone wants or is ready for surgery — non-surgical treatments can help, but must be used honestly and appropriately.
Key point of difference

We do not believe in using volume or fillers to “lift” lax skin
Filling the face to compensate for laxity is a poor trade-off — it often leads to facial distortion rather than true lifting.
How we’re different
Most cosmetic clinics focus on visible change.
We focus on what those changes do to your skin over time.
Diagnosis before treatment, not treatment by default
Long-term skin health prioritised over short-term results
Precision over excess
Conservative, evidence-informed use of injectables and devices
Doctor-led, established in 2005
Honest guidance, including when not to proceed
Skin Laxity Patient Outcomes
Every recommendation considers how your skin will
respond not just now, but years from now.

Our Approach
When treating laxity non-surgically, we use multiple complementary modalities to maximise results.
We also emphasis skin quality, collagen health, weight stability, and overall health, which all influence laxity over time.
